Mission 1: Failed.
tell that to Forbes. Tell that to Always On. Tell that to draconian-like DRM restrictions on used games. Tell that to Kinect requirements and XBLive subscriptions in >>> 2013. Something tells me E3 won't fix this hot mess.

No. Only one does this time. Only one did last time.
"We haven't shared any of those details yet. The key thing to bear in mind is that in the coming generation, obviously retail sales are going to play a huge part in that ecosystem, and people will continue to buy shiny discs. But increasingly, content sales are going to happen online.
That's what Xbox Live and the Arcade investments on 360 have all been learning towards, and Xbox One is really going to take that to the next level. The entire content portfolio wi...
This is nothing new, journos do this all the time. Just a few weeks ago a journalist from Boston I believe voted that Carmelo Anthony should be MVP of the year and not LeBron James. He was the only dissenting voice out of many many others who selected James, in hopes that his "outlier" of a vote would get him noticed and more largess, fame etc.
In this case more hits and rubbernecking from people curious as to what he or she is on about in the article.

The world works the way we say it works.
- Famous last words
sadly this reveal was only for investors and partners of Microsoft.
If they don't blow people away at E3 with GAMES GAMES and more GAMES (and I really mean that) Sony will be well on their way to winning yet another console war for the hearts and minds of gamers worldwide going into the Fall season.
Microsoft has an image probelem right now that they desperately need to shake. Whether rumors speculation or hearsay the "stuff" floating around ou...
"One does not simply play used games..."
cool video.
Guy needs to work for Google, ESPN, the NFL or Facebook, not MS's *gaming division.
you mean like the 360 didn't? #stoplyingmicrosoft the PS4 is more powerful. #dealwithit
from a gamer.
Looks huge, bulky, and 'Murican. Perfect for their target audience I'd say.
some investors are already using the voice command - "XBOX, give me my money back!"
like a bandit today. Times are a changin'.....
took a shyt on themselves today in front of the entire world. To conspiracy theorists this all has a deeper meaning & hidden agenda. I am actually feeling a little more sad today. I was hyped for a huge "battle royale" between two legendary companies going into E3 - fresh off the rails from the last console war that began in 2005, but clearly Sony is outshining (all at the moment). Something that not even Cliffy B or gaming journos at large can deny.
We'l...
I just shat my pants in laughter.
is a date that will go down in gaming infamy, as the day Microsoft's gaming division walked onto the stage and collectively committed corporate suicide.
I know it's hyperbolic and E3 is 3 weeks or so away, but their "reveal" was really more of an abortion to the consumers only interested in video games, truth be told.
just #startover. The XBOX1 wasn't conceived w/ hardcore gamers in mind in the first place.
edit/: @autocad below - because if you're playing an FPS or racing marathon per se as I do w/ multiple monitors and consoles that won't work. It's that simple.
Bill Gates repositions his night mask and awaits the returns on the future crop of XBLive subscribers and used disc consumers they catch in the net for 2013.
Creating money out of thin air doesn't get any easier than this folks... this is an evil company not concerned about the desires or pocketbooks of gamers. Microsoft is simply reaping what they've sown.
